As of today, a cumulative total of  618 286  confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa have been recorded with 2585 new cases identified.

Reported Deaths and Recoveries

Regrettably, we report 126 new COVID-19 related deaths: 25 from Eastern Cape, 33 from Gauteng, 48 from KwaZulu Natal, and 20 from Western Cape. This brings the cumulative number of deaths to 13 628

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.

The number of recoveries currently stands at 531 338 which translates to a recovery rate of 86%
