As of today, a cumulative total of  579 140  confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa have been recorded with 6286 new cases identified.

Reported Deaths and Recoveries

Regrettably, we report 286 new COVID-19 related deaths: 42 from Eastern Cape, 20 from the Free State, 26 from North West, 76 from Gauteng, 54 from KwaZulu Natal, 22 from Mpumalanga, 18 from Northern Cape and 28 from Western Cape. This brings the cumulative number of deaths to 11 556

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.

The number of recoveries currently stands at 461 734  which translates to a recovery rate of 79%
