Ayanda Mvandaba

Ayanda Mvandaba is a highly strategic Chartered Accountant (SA) and executive governance specialist with extensive experience in the public, private, and regulated sectors. She provides robust financial oversight, audit assurance, and enterprise risk management expertise to the NHLS Audit Committee.

Her public sector governance portfolio includes serving as Chairperson of the Risk and Audit Committee at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Audit Committee member of Wesgro, and, previously, as an Audit Committee Member for the Western Cape Government. She also currently chairs the Audit and Risk Committee for Peregrine Life, a regulated insurer, ensuring strict adherence to statutory and ethical standards.

Commercially, Ayanda bridges the gap between boardroom rigour and operational agility. She is the founder of Kwandiso Consulting, where she advises on capital raising and finance as a growth engine. Her technical foundation was established in the financial services audit division at KPMG. Recognised as a Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South African and a SAICA Top 35 under 35 finalist, Ayanda is deeply committed to public accountability, clean administration, and ensuring the financial resilience of critical state institutions.
